"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all"

Yellow Cottage Mosaics at The San Francisco Flower & Garden Show

March 15 - March 19, 2006.

Yellow Cottage Mosaics displays a three-paneled "triptych" design, assembled from vintage hard-body and vitreous glass tile, and depicts California native plant communities, Chaparral, Oakwood land, and Great Basin Desert. It was created by Yellow Cottage Mosaics' artist, Christina Yaconelli, and Alrie Middlebrook of Middlebrook Gardens, reflecting a commitment shared by both in representing California's rich natural heritage in all aspects of gardening.

This unique design can be viewed at Middlebrook Gardens' display booth at the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show. For more information, please visit www.gardenshow.com/sf, or www.middlebrook-gardens.com. Six innovative gardens designed by Alrie Middlebrook and built by Middlebrook Gardens, in conjunction with Windermere Real Estate and Rick Driemeyer of Both Sides of the Door, will be on display, all of which have native plant themes, one of which incorporates a cottage with a green, "living" roof.
